Hey there! I’m a dad and a thrower and I will be attending US Nats this year. I wanted to throw out an idea and see if we can get anyone on board for a kid-friendly meetup one night during the contest. There are a lot of goings-on with the younger adults and single/child-free folks after hours, but I hadn’t seen much for those of us who haul along our kids. There is a Level 1 Arcade ([https://www.level1arcade.bar/](https://www.level1arcade.bar/)) opening up on Main Street in Mesa in April. As long as that goes as scheduled, that may be a cool place to entertain and feed everyone, including our kiddos, and may well have space for mom and dad to chat and throw a few sick tricks. I may be able to get a reservation or something too if we can plan ahead enough. Open to other spots as well, but mainly looking for indoors. I’ve been a native Tucsonan my whole life and feel I’ve absorbed enough heat for ten lifetimes already. What say you, daddios? ---

Darn. Sounds fun but we ruled out Nats this year. Can’t wait to get there one day. ---

It was a fun time last year but the boy (then 5, now 6) was pretty bored. And yeah the almost-holiday weekend isn’t going to help attendance. ---

I would love to attend but alas all of our travel is locked down by weddings this year… Have fun all, hopefully I’ll be able to join some day.
