I can help you out on f2l. It’s probably the strong point in my solve by far.
As for lubrication, I use traxxas 50 k which is extremely similar to Lubix but is a lot cheaper. So I overlube mine And usually and break that lube in with tons of solves. This can work for all puzzles but for 7x7 you probably shouldn’t overlube it. Just put a bit in, work it around. If it feels like it needs more but a bit more in and so on.

11move f2l minus 1 with all edges oriented. Blue cross. I got a headlights case where I should have done cll then ell instead of oll then pll but got nervous and it worked out because I got an A perm and a new pb!

What I don’t understand is why oll and pll in general are more efficient than coll and ell. Coll isn’t that much longer than oll, and ell is almost all m and u moves so I would think it’s easier.
Btw, I’ve almost finished learning pll.

Cll recognition is typically slower, as in it’s hard to predict cll in the last pair, and ell is also somewhat bad. It’s probably not as efficient, but recognition was easier. The case here was one of the easiest to recognize, and gave me one of the best ell cases so it would have been better.

Cll is slow recognition? Really? Maybe I better make sure I know what cll is. It takes the same recognition as cmll, right? I have no trouble with that.
Btw, are you still trying blind or did you give up on that?

I think it’s a fair bit slower than oll recognition. Simply because you know edge orientation during last slot, and so it’s just the orientation of four corners that you have to worry about. Cll you worry about orientation and permution. Furthermore, more advanced cfopers with greater knowledge of winter variation can force easier oll cases, whereas it is hard to force better cll cases.
I have a competition soon, so until it’s over I have quit blind to work on events that I will compete in, but I might try to learn it after.

I guess I can understand that.
Have you been to a contest before? Just as a matter of curiosity, what’s the average blind solve length at contests?

Yes I went to a competition in January, I did horrible. There wasn’t 3bld as an official event because of time constraints, but a few people were doing it during lunch and I’d say it was 5-10 minutes average. It all depends on which competition you go to though.

5-10 minutes? That’s beatable. I’m kinda just wondering where I would place if I ever competed in a contest for blind (would not happen for a while if I did).

Competitions in the states are usually more competitive. The winning average in 3x3 at my comp was a high 12 which is horrible.
