# creating tricks

i cant seem to make up my own tricks. can anyone help me out?

What helps me is movement. Do crazy stuff with ur hands. Music is also a big influence on my yoyoing

I know there a lot of guides out there like the one lev made so i’ll just list a few tips.

1. Try a few differant mounts and using basic princaples you already know about yoyo tricks to manipulate them, such as poping the yoyo off onto another string, swinging slack around, ect, ect.
2. Look at yoyo videos of tricks you like. You can draw a lot of inspiration from them.
3. Experimant, tricks take a while to make, so once you’ve found a starting point, try all the differant possiblities for manipulating the string.
4. Just remember, in a nutshell, most tricks are a series of mounts, but how you get from each mount to the next can drastically affect the trick.
5. Have fun! You can’t make tricks if your not having fun, it’s like trying to fit a square block into a round hole. So if it’s getting tedious, take a break.
