# Could I dye a sunset trajectory with Rit dye?

Ordering some sunset trajectories when my birthday comes, but I don’t really like the caps of the trajectory, or the color.

I was wondering if I could dye type 6 string, and a trajectory red or white, with Rit dye, or any type of cheap, safe liquid dye.

- One dyed red with white type #8 string.
- One dyed white with dyed red type #8 string.

Would this ruin the yoyo? Or will it come out fine?

You can dye things that are white/very lightly colored, and you can only dye them to darker colors. String can be obtained in the color you want. You could dye a Sunset red if you get a white Sunset (yes using RIT dye).

Red and white sunsets are usually sold out, and I haven’t seen colored type #8 string.
