I have no problem with dings at all. I play my yo-yos to play them, not to look at them :wink: If they were damaged beyond not playing that would bother me. They also look the same, or maybe even better, while spinning. ---

I just want to add that my most used yoyo is in mint condition. My second most used has one ding. ---

I am ambivalent to dings for the most part (until they drastically affect grinds), but if I think about it, I’ve dinged very few of my yoyos myself. I’ve bought several pre-dinged and just didn’t add more dings to them. ---

Ever since I started playing with a longer string I’m a lot more sympathetic as to how some people get so much damage on their yoyos. I’ve definitely pitched a few yoyos into the ground and let them smack the ground on a failed trick much more frequently, I just don’t play a ton and the vast majority of my play is over carpet. ---

Well right now with my new yoyos from the black friday deals I have kept them mint. I’m still in that stage of trying to preserve them, but if I get them dinged it won’t be a big deal.
