# cleaning yoyo bearing what to use i screwed up my bearings

will this fix my bearings i used rubbing alcohol and my bearings play like ■■■■ now dos this help

I use 97-99% rubbing alcohol and my bearing plays great. Please stop with the multiple threads. You can get all your answers in one post. I told you to use my bearing cleaning 101 post and if you did it right. Your bearing will play great/amazing.

Rubbing alcohol will not ruin your bearing in any way. I’ve used it many times - it works. It’s just not as strong of a solvent as mineral spirits so you need to soak the bearings longer, and if your bearing is really gunked up it may not work as well as a stronger solvent.

And I agree with the others - no need for so many new threads about the same thing. Just search through the dozens (might even be hundreds at this point) of other posts on how to clean a bearing and you’ll find what you need.
