# cleaning the bearing!!! help!

i don’t have any mineral spirits at hand but i do have lube. i need to clean the bearing and is there any subsitute for it? Currently i am usinbg water, but i’ve herd that the bearing can rust!!! uururrgenntt!!! HELP NOW!!! please.

i have lube though so will the lube prevent from rusting!!! any subsitute for mineral spirits!!!

I think using a white vineager can do the trick [How to clean your rusty ball bearings. - Yo-Yo Mods and Maintenance - YoYoExpert](http://yoyoexpert.com/forums/index.php/topic,17749.0.html)  
or using a sand paper to remove the rust by rubbing it’s surface
