# Cleaning a bearing with shields on

It can be but it is much harder. Shields hold stuff in a lot better then they keep stuff out. They are also useless in a yoyo since the yoyo half’s act as shields.

Sure. Doing it right is a lot more effective though.

It’s about as effective as showering fully dressed. :wink:

Yea Just Deshield the bearing before you clean it its not that hard
