# Car finishes vs. Yo-yo finishes

I was thinking about this some more and the analogy breaks down.

One thing I love about auto finishes is that _THEY LOOK SPARKLY METALLIC_, which is kinda awesome. Anodized aluminum really doesn’t; it’s just a flat … bleh … color. I was thinking of this because @yoyospirit bounced his [awesome topic](https://forums.yoyoexpert.com/t/yoyospirits-powder-coats-and-mods-thread/70922), and I mean just 👀 LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIES

If a “solid color yo-yo” looked like that, @zslane, I’d be all over it like freakin’ white on rice.

But it don’t. (Maybe it _should_ though?)
