Bummed I missed it…had some sweet tricks to show you guys… Anyways Niven, the thread says we’ve had 5 meets. Does that include the first one almost a year ago with me, you, Sam, and that other guy?

oh nah i didn’t count that cus that wasn’t an official club meet lol it was just a dc meet … sam and i met before that also and never counted that either… but yea the group is growing!!

I’d love to get to that Eldersburg meet but it’s on a teaching night grrr . . :‘(. I just treated myself to a new throw, I’m getting a G-funk, kinda stoked, anyone ever throw one? A new yyf to make up for the dv888 that must have rolled off the top o’ my hood in some distant gas station . . :🙂 price ain’t too bad . .where are you located Cravings? I’m Hagerstown/Frederick area I’m especially down for a meet near me . .

we could definitely do more than one meet a month … the next meet is in two weeks … we can talk about having two meets a month if you guys want that
only thing is that … the # of people per meet might go down … because not everyone will be able to make every meet
but hey I am down for it … lets see who else is

sounds good … all we say is that you don’t have your meets on the same date as ours … we try to post our dates in advanced and usually have them… on the first saturday of each month … sometimes it gets rescheduled but thats the Idea at least …
there are like 5 guys from md so i know they will be happy … and I wouldn’t mind driving up there also … 🙂 since i kinda live in the middle of everything.
another thing … i know that Chris mentioned changing the name of our group since its not just people from northern va … we were thinking D/M/V … since its kinda fits … we have guys from dc / md / va
let me know what you guys think … i don’t think changing the name is a big deal …
oh and another announcement … i posted this on Facebook … but for those who don’t have fb … here it is :
i spoke to a local hobby shop in Fairfax,VA Hobby Works 9650 Main Street, Fairfax VA
The Owner Courtney said that they have space for us to hang out and they would love for us to come out etc… I told him that maybe on Oct 6th we can come down and check it out since its not too far from the Vienna library. So maybe after we grab some food or whatever we can go down and check it out, we don’t have to hang out there … we can just go check it out … whoever is up for it at least. He said we just have to let him know when we will be meeting there so that he can also try to generate interest and sorta announce it on their website etc … anyways just another option another way to get exposure etc… let me know what you guys think. Also I think he carries like yomega and duncan and to my surprise he said that he knows about unresponsive yo-yos…and he said that he does sell some of the stuff he has … so I definitely see a potential there… but yea … what y’all thinking???

I think a name change is good cuz i was thinking of a supernova in space, others say it’s northern Virginia, and just yesterday someone said it stood for the YoYo from YoYo factory. But i hate the whole dmv thing. Same problem. Department of motor vehicles? No thanks. We can do better. like something that doesn’t deal with the states. Gyro club, hops yoyo club, spinners, ravens (just kidding), think about it and post some stuff. Nothin gets done with silence.
I like the sound of the hobby shop a lot. Especially if he starts stocking things. ;D

I’m cool with whatever name this club happens to take, just as long as we keep meeting. It originated in NoVa so it wouldn’t be so bad to keep the name. Hobbyshop thing is cool! Doesn’t look like I’m gigging that night so I might tag along to check it out. Congrats on the dye job there Nivo!
