# Can you strip ano?

Did this the other night. If you strip the ano, it changes the dimensions, though minor. Also, it’s more susceptible to corrosion. But if you keep an eye on it, should be good.

de-anodizing with caustic soda  
on partial de-anodizing like these, there is the small problem that the part with anodizing creates a very small step with that discolored, then the grind-tricks yoyo loses performance
