I’ve had my callus split open twice due to my hand being overly dry. It took time to heal. Most recently it took the better part of 2-3 months to fully heal. Now I make sure my hands are properly moisturized prior to throwing, if I can’t, I throw a band or or some cloth tape or medical tape around my string finger.

i use to have calli…they went away.
yes - the worst was durin’ cold weather, when my skin was cracked and dry. i recall one evenin’…after a particularly long yo yoin’ session - i put my callus up to a light. and could see 4 distinct ‘valleys’ goin’ through it. it got pretty bad at times…
