I bought a peak for 170 , I thought it was a very resalable price for the condition . When I got it , it was totally responsive . And when screwed together , felt like a stripped thread . so I changed out the bearing nothing was stripped , old bearing wasn’t sitting right . And took out the pads and replaced with silicon . Plays like a dream , left positive feedback .
I bet if it was playing this smooth before transaction , I would have never got my hands on it 🙂 .
But then again I do all my own work on my car . Some people just aren’t maniacal . Maybe the buyer is younger , new to yoyoing , and just doesn’t have a bearing removal tool ,
may be taking out a bearing is a complete mystery to him . I’d clean up bearing and ship back . and send him a youtube link on bearing cleaning .
