# Boomerang problem

Hi,

Is it possible NOT to get rope/string burn while doing the boomerang trick? I keep trying to do it, but the string rubs against my hand and it burns.

When I keep my non-throwhand ABSOLUTELY still, then I get string burns. However, for some reason, if I let my non-throwhand move slightly up and down (it should be natural), then I get less string burn.

What ^ said. Moving my non throw hand some seems to let some of the weight of the string off the hand so it’s not rubbing as hard. You could always put a glove on that hand as well.
