# Boingy boing help!!

Can anyone tell me why my yoyo always misses the string or does not “bounce” when i move my finger? It’s always either one of those happening. ☹ Thanks in advance.

when you first learn you kinda want to take advantage of the momentum of the roll before the boing.  
don’t pull too hard and make an up an down motion with your throwhand. after you get the momentum it’ll “boing” and then you’ll get a feel of it.

One thing that helped me was another thread.  
Also, Make sure you are making a smooth up and down motion, not a jerking movement.  
Next time, use the search.
