These waters get muddied pretty quickly imo. There are sooooo many great yoyos that have been released even in the past three years, It is honestly more difficult to obtain an arguably “bad” yoyo than it is to land a great yoyo. Yoyo design and QC has been dialed in pretty tight

Well in that case, I can only give recommendations from roughly 2016 to present (I started throwing at the beginning of 2017).

Banshee (2018)
Wolf
Pelican (2018)
Hawk (and TiHawk) - this one looks very similar to the TiWalker but I don’t think it is a 1 for 1 copy by any means
**A-rt (Jensen and Charles’ brand, all organics):**

Quail (mid size organic with an A size bearing)
These are just my favorites, and most are well received in the community/ have stood the test of time and “hype”. I haven’t thrown all of these personally, but these are the ones that are most sought after in the community from recent years.

I’m not sure what you’re looking for, exactly, but for a little pocket throw my Recess Snack has been a lot of fun lately. I also really like my Freehand Pro for a plastic. The Shutter has been great for cutting my unresponsive teeth on for a guy who used to only know responsive play.

For 2013 - 2018 I would say this is a very solid list. I’d add Grail and at least one G2.
