> ABEC ratings only tell you how tight the tolerances are on the diameters and widths of the races and the runout. Those measurements mean nothing in the yo-yo world aside from being another buzzword to throw around.

If that was so I would not be using precession bearings as they are more then twice the cost.
After cleaning, treating and testing thousands of bearings the differences become obvious.
Why else would the Annular Bearing Engineering Committee rate them in the first place.
We all have choices, I choose to use the best.

Me too. Speaklng of which, I need to order some more Terrapin X Bearings…

A friend tried the A+ Beefcake in my FHZ Pulse and has to have one now! I could use a few more flats and wing cuts. I’ll PM you on Monday when I have a deposit of cash in my bank account.

Chico 10 balls are epic. Silent like OD 10 balls are supposed to be (mine is loud) and long spinning unlike OD 10 balls.

The Annular Bearing Engineering Committee rates bearings because certain industries actually require certain tolerances. The yo-yoing industry is really not one of those. If you want to pay more for higher ABEC ratings, be my guest, but they don’t add any sort of performance.

You seem to use what is well known to be hype.
