# Bearing Problem

My shutter was making some noise so I lubed it.

I lubed it and its making the same amount of noise.

Then maybe it’s not bearing noise???

Lube makes a bearing responsive.  
More lube \>\> more response.

So how would you recommend I fix it. I played basketball for like 3 hours and let the bearing out to dry, haven’t tried it yet though maybe that will work.

You can either play through it to break in the oil or clean it again. Lube very lightly or not at all. Be sure to remove the shields and dry the solvent out of the bearing thoroughly. It’s probably quicker to clean the bearing. Note that a clean, dry bearing will be noisier than a lubed bearing.
