# Bearing keeps breaking (5a)

I am having trouble because my bearings keep on breaking/locking up.
I tried cleaning with mineral spirits but does not help.
Its so frustrating! I’ve already locked up/broke 2 concaves and a normal bearing, using a speedaholic. I only play/drop it on carpet too. So i dont know why the bearing keeps breaking!
At this rate it already costs me $30 worth of bearings!

Likely hair and fibers from the carpet.
It takes a nasty hit to kill a bearing, normally kills the throw along with it.

Is your bearing seat loose?
I have had this problem before.
It’s cause was a loose bearing seat’
It was eating a bearing every week it seemed.
