Wow, one person ruins all peoples reps? I am still getting yoyos made. I have just gone through 5 machinists who said they would do it, and never did for like 2 months then said hey, we can’t do it.

yeah it is hard to find a machinest i bet. i kinda want to learn how to machine yoyos. that way i wont need a machinest to at least make a proto. but still.
you do need to CAD these first. it is like drawing a stick figure and then telling someone to make a portrait of you and that you will not be there but the stick figure is a reference. maybe a little bit less extreme. the thing is that what you have up there is an idea still. when it is CAD’d, then it is a project.
you cannot build a company on ideas only.

that is what i mean. even by hand, the 2 halves are different sizes. if not cad it, at least do something that is messured out.

They have lethes that can be very precise. He can hand make yoyos if he want’s. A lot of wooden yoyos are made by hand (fancy ones) and they are made by expert lathe users. Just cool your jets and let him try what he wants and stop hating.

If he is like I think he is, he is like me. He sees it all in his head. I can imagine it in my head and I would just feel I would be wasting my time putting it on paper.

yes, but i am saying that if he is using someone else as a machinist, than the machinist does not have it laid out in his or her head. if BB is machining it himself, that is fine, but if he is hiring someone, there needs to be some more detail for the person.

Man, someone should really clean up this thread… I mean seriously, this is BB’s thread, if you have any derogatory remarks then don’t post them here. IF you don’t like it, don’t follow the topic, simple as that, a bunch of people pointing out how the OP is doing X, Y, and Z wrong is not something to be pointed out here, if you have a problem with someone or something they are doing, deal with it privately, I don’t think the community should have to sort through all of these junk, semi-flame posts to see what BB is or wants to do. Just my $0.02, ymmv, just stop being disrespectful towards the Topic OWNER.
P.S. Cameron, no need to hype my post or anything so please don’t. I am just making a point.
