Come grow with us together as we explore 5A with fixed axle yoyos that are double or triple looped to prevent sleeping. Goal is for each of us to post one trick a day in this style from April 13th-19th on Instagram using #bandalore5A and tagging @JosephStromme

Feel free to share your proverbial weapon of choice.
This is the Glow Manamana, made by Stoneroxalot. It has No Jive guts. I have it triple looped in true Bandalore fashion with my last strand of Oh Canada string (praise be to @AudreySickburn for the soon to come reboot “I can’t believe it’s not Canada” string, I hope to be your first customer.)
Oh, and speaking of Return Bottoms, the counterweight is from my glow WaffleStomper.

Going to have to give this a spin, haven’t yoyo’s with a “hitch” in a while. Need to decide what my weapon of choice will be. May have to go with my Buffalo if I want pull start capabilities.

Dude, you’re already killing it, great job.
Agreed on the double loop. It feels so awkward and really took me out of my comfort zone but I am embracing it more and finding that it opens up tricks that were way harder without the double wrap
Specifically aerials, the ultra responsiveness helps me get some height on them, and also allows for me to be able to get the yoyo back to my hand even if it has super minimal strength left on the axle.

Yea closest I got to a non sleeping “up and down yoyo” as I called them back then was my cheap grocery store yoyo whose string was press fit into the axle hole. Before I when understood the concept of a yoyo being able to sleep.

Against my better judgement to allow Instagram back on my phone but I want to participate 🙂
Day 1: keeping it simple with a pull start. I’m still getting used to the sudden jolt back up as opposed to a smoother response. Also learning that I don’t need to actually throw as hard, much more delicate movements.

Day 2 with alternating stalls and a toss over. Finding that my larger sized (unnamed) Boise Woodworks throw handles this bandalore style a bit better. Slower, momentum, etc.
