# Are nickel plated Onedrop yoyos heavier than regular ones?

Are they?

Also, does the nickel plating increase durability at all?

They’re heavier for sure. Not by much. Wouldn’t call it increased durability per say but I’m sure it’s slightly more durable then anodizing.

Nickel plating makes it about 1 gram heavier.

Though at the same time, the added weight is equally spread over the entire yoyo, so I doubt the weight would be very noticeable.
