I’m pretty sure Bear Ops is Bradely and made the Kimura? Great knife. A bit small for my hands but I learned to flip on it and loved it. I don’t do much anymore and didn’t get crazy back then I was afraid of severing a tendon and ruining my climbing finga’s!
Trainers have become well made and popular. Used to only have a bottle opener option lol.

Forgot to ask, you ever practice Pakal? It’s a blade in knife (opposite to a normal blade, like ice pick reverse grip) defensive technique. But devastating power since it’s a pull as thrust. Anything that comes into range is picked/stuck and then you pull back. Also any standard traps now become cuts. Mainly defense as you are constantly backing away or angling out to escape. Several makers ended up making a knife for it and since you like fixed!

Got bored. Knocked around an economical kitchen knife I had.

If you want to have some fun with ferric chloride the Kiwi brand knives work great. Steel is softer and easier to etch but still a good steel and edge. Did these with nail polish resist and multiple dips.
Another fun way to etch is with any old power adapter and plain old salt water. A 12v 1amp from a printer or whatever works, an old laptop one I had at 19v and 2amp worked better. I’ve done some that I was inspired by Stone Wood knives like this one. He does some great designs imho.

Haha, I always tried to be pretty myself, but it didn’t work, so…. 🥸
I used to have a workshop in like 2010 or so and made the above folders by myself.
Sure, those aren’t necessarily those, I’d pick for a 3 day backpacking trip, but, shoes are made for walking. Same goes for knives, throws, watches… they are made to be used - and that’s what one should do….

Been following this thread since it started last October, inspired me to get my own EDC knife. For the past year I’ve carried a Civivi Elementum on me every day. Although I liked it’s slim profile, I quickly realized that wooden scales are not the best for am EDC…
Recently I got the itch to upgrade and I found out that Spyderco’s headquarters was pretty close to where I live so I made the trip to check them out in Golden, CO:
I wasn’t willing to put down the money for a para 2 or 3, mostly since I didn’t know how much I liked the thumb hole flipper, and instead opted for a more affordable model (the tenacious). It’s been a couple of days now and I still can’t put it down! Definitely open to upgrading to one of their nicer model after this one! Loving the SpyderHole flip mechanism too!

Hey boys, Total knife guy here. So much that I got in to making them. I only do fixed blades (made 2 folders in 10+ years).
And I mostly carry my own pocket fixed blades and sometimes someone else’s folders.
This is above my home workstation.
And this is my most carried personal blade. Polished Damascus and warthog tusk
(Sidenote I’m totally up for trading knives for throws some times)
