It’s just a yoyo, That I took along with me today that caught the eye of a young man fighting a personal battle, of a magnitude I can’t even begin to comprehend. He saw the Dark Magic spin and land cleanly on the string and remarked how often as a kid he had attempted the trapeze. We spent some time taking turns with the toy. We laughed together; I assisting him accomplish his childhood goal, he teaching me that there is always room for a smile and hope regardless of life’s trials. We exchanged gifts today: I received a lesson in hope and perseverance, he just a yoyo, just a simple toy today. We take our gifts and say good-bye, each appreciative for the opportunity to share and learn. Yes, it’s just a yoyo; but what a yoyo! Value the day, the moment, and those around you. It doesn’t take as much effort to make a positive difference in someones life, as we sometimes think.
