# A real question for Colin- creative barriers?

How do you go about breaking down the creative barriers that you might face when making new tricks/elements? Are there anything persistent problems that you face when you feel barren creatively and what how do you manage this?

I’m in a pretty lucky position because I do two divisions consistently. Usually I either take a small break from yo-yoing or switch styles. However, some other ideas I’ve had are to use a different yoyo, yoyo to different music, or use a different string length. Changing up the conditions should help you think differently.
