I already know 2 out of 3 from the beginner ladder. Started working in spirals today. Not bad at all. I d say I am 50% there after 90 minutes of practice. ---

Here’s my submission for both the trick ladder + trick of the week. Spirals is a really hard and awkward trick, it’s really easy to do it wrong or in a way that looks totally uncontrolled. For anybody learning spirals this week I’d really advise you to try and do it more slowly, so you can make sure the counterweight and yoyo both wrap in the way you want them to. Because that’s important for getting them to both unwrap at the same time, rather than just having one half moving while the other half is stationary. And going slower will make it easier for you to get the yoyo into a mount after the unwraps, instead of letting it all flail around at the end. It’s definitely a big leap in difficulty to do spirals properly. ---

My biggest learning when I first practiced spirals was that the string part with the yoyo on it should be longer as counterweight string part. That is in the beginning a bit scary since you feel a bit less controlled but it helps to nicely untangle the spiral. ---
