# 4a maintenance

My question is on 4a maintenance. I have two skyhawks and after a few weeks of throwing them the bearing started to get very loud. I clean the bearings how I normally would do. I use mineral spirits, paper clean them, then lub the bearings. However once I put the bearing back into the skyhawk the bearing sounded like it was dead. The bearing works fine in a normal 1a yoyo, but when put back into the skyhawk it sounds dead and doesn’t work how it use to. Has this situation ever happen to you? What can I do to fix this problem?

Is there something wrong with the bearing seat on the yoyo? If you have other bearings that will fit, try those.

It sounds like you have one of the spacers in backwards.
