Thought I would share some of the things I’ve been working on lately. 3D Printed ABS w/ brass weight rings and steel hubs. Woah, I can’t believe I haven’t stumbled across your site before. The stuff you’re doing looks fantastic and the level of control/customisation you’re allowing (as well as the process involved) is something that I’ve never come across until now. Also, this: [http://www.kyostoys.com/images/main\_premium-small.png](http://www.kyostoys.com/images/main_premium-small.png) Is insane. Brilliantly insane. I’ve never seen the likes of it. I will be watching this with keen interest and have no doubt that you will be seeing my money in the near future. 🙂 ---

I should note that yo-yo is the ‘bird’s nest’… I made it in 2008, it is modeled after the ‘bird’s nest’ stadium they build for the Olympics in Beijing. It’s a placeholder for many, many other designs that I’ve worked on/developed over the last 10+ years. Kyle ---

How long does it take you to make one custom Delrin throw, hubs and weight rings included? This is extremely cool! ---

The hubs and rings are pre-manufactured parts that I have made in huge batches… far more time/cost effective to do that way. The bodies… well, I can’t give everything away now can I? 🙂 Kyle ---

Do they hold up to damage well? Also, how consistent is each yoyo? I was thinking of getting a pair for 3A. ---

I can’t say I’ve gone around swinging them full force into concrete… but yes, they’re durable. Worst you’re likely to do is pop a ring out (would take some really hard hits), which can just be put back in. 3d print consistency is good, there are occasionally some surface blemishes, but nothing that impacts performance. It’s plastic, so you’ll sometimes get a very minor vibe to it, but even that is rare. The machined stuff is extremely consistent, as with any machined yo-yo. Kyle
