Not really. If you fix it for loops, it then slips for hops and etc. ---

i do find that as i clean up my technique it becomes less of an issue but it’s annoying when it happens ---

Not Tuesday yet, but wanted to get a consensus on a 2A question I had. Is it better to start with just one looping yoyo or better to start with two to get the feeling for it? ---

I’m no expert, but how it was explained to me was : left handed looping is one trick. Right handed looping is one trick. Two handed looping is a different trick. All of them seem to require the same effort to learn. Sure, practice one then the other then both. But don’t wait until you’re perfect at both BEFORE starting two handed. Just buy two if you have any inkling of two handed being the goal. ---

Honestly if you don’t have basic loops down then one looper in either hand is a good start. Work on off hand loops while doing something else in other hand . This can be anything honestly looping or hops or even just some other activity like begleri or roller or something. Your just training yourself to do the pat your belly rub your head game really well lol Some folks have described using yoyo balls or something to get the motions dialed in without having to think about the looping part just practicing there handed activity. 2a is hard. Allot of it if your not ambidextrous is training your non dominant hand to loop on autopilot so you can focus your dominant hand on doing a trick like a wrap or a hop or something that’s not looping. But to get to even that point learning to get solid hops, moons, and loops on both hands individually is key. For reference I’m to the point if I focus hard I can trick myself to loop with my left and throw in something sometimes with my right usually just more sloppy loops. I’m not good at this my brain doesn’t like the 2 hand part of 2a lol ---

Absolutely learn one handed first. Also start with intentionally short sets. Think of them like weight lifting, except the weight doesn’t change so all you can vary is reps. You wouldn’t start out weight lifting doing as many reps as you can. You’d start out doing 4 at a time and work your way up. Focus on cleanliness and solid catches. You can start two handed the same way whenever you feel ready, but literally go for 2 reps on each side to start (that is one loop per hand). ---

Thank you @DaneMartin @Captrogers and @TryCatchThrow . I’m still going down the looping rabbit hole, and have yet to pull the trigger on any. I know some 720’s are the easiest to get and some of the best, but the JPL stuff seems very cool. The signature model is calling me! In a world where new 1A yoyos are dropping weekly, it’s awesome to witness a 2A company on the come up. I don’t know much about the 2A space, would you refer to JPL as an indy company? ---

I think I have a slight preference for the aesthetics of the blue. It’s still set up stock though; the red is set up with your setup from your YouTube vid. I’ve been trying to play a slightly less responsive setup. Any plans to do a signature 2020 as well?
