Prize Announcement OK, I’m feeling trigger-happy. We’re still in the middle of organizing my prizes but wanted to announce something. Will my life be more or less difficult for just pulling that trigger? Only time will tell. Here are the remaining “Just because I entered” possibilities! In addition to the first two random draws (one fixed-axle prize pack per division), here are another pair of random draws. I’m going to make a disclaimer here: If both divisions receive entries fairly close to evenly (10% difference or so), I will ensure that they are drawn one per division; otherwise I will just draw from the total entry pool for both. Draw #1: YYF Tactic Draw #2: YYF G-funk PLUS Duncan Echo 2 (estimated total value $78 at current YYE prices or $99 at original price!) I’m in a tough spot for another condition of award: I would like to send these to somebody who has not already won a prize. Yet at the same time, I want to do the draws while we’re waiting for the judge’s decision! Can’t do both. The jury is out. Discuss amongst yourselves… :wink: ---

I don’t think many people including our particular panel of judges would consider a long combo a “banger”, no matter how technically involved it might be. It’s a punctuation mark (an exclamation mark, specifically!) in your video, not a whole sentence. Note that a “banger” can still be a PART of a combo. I’m not saying you have to do it in isolation for it to be noticed. But it’s usually pretty distinctive and often ends a combo; if it doesn’t end the combo it often leads into a regen which in turn sets up the next distinctive “part” of the combo. “Wait, what did he just do? I need to rewind it to x:xx to see that again!” is a good sign of having seen a banger. :wink: ---

the amount of skill shown in these videos is insane… this is probably going to be one of the most skill packed battle of the elders there has ever been… also the prizes for this contest are insane… almost makes me wish i was thirty and dealing with arthritis… ---

If you have to be someone who is following this thread and also happen to be near to submitting… Hold off for a day or two! I have one (possibly two) exciting last-minute sponsors and I’d like to add their logos to the title card. People who have already submitted do NOT need to re-edit, of course. Once I have the updated graphic it will be business as usual. 🙂 ---
